Cold weather and extreme winter times should never stop you from taking a vacation and enjoying it. Winter has an abundance of activities that can only be done in cold places and of course you don’t want to miss that. Layering up ad drinking warm drinks may be obvious but there are many other things to do. Here you are the top tips for enjoying your vacation in cold weather.

1- Staying in to stay warm is a wrong idea. If you really want to feel warm and fit in the cold weather you will need to get out more as it will help you to adapt to weather conditions faster.

2- When shivers start get warm fast. Shivering scientifically is a warning sign. When your skin temperature drops,shivering starts to keep your core temperature from dropping too. The shivering itself is an activity that burns calories thus warms up your body. Shivering is a message from your body that you need to get warmer soon.

3- Extra activity helps. Find time to work out and if not available walk in malls and take part in every activity within your trip. Staying active fights the winter chills.

4- Using newspaper for warmth can be your savior in emergencies. If you are stuck in a jam or outdoors with no access to extra warm clothes stuff newspapers inside your jacket and it will make a difference.

5- Eat healthy fats. They can actually help keeping your body warm and revs up your metabolism. If you are one of people who worry about their weight, skip fats for hot soups and spicy foods to keep the chill out.

6- Stay warm but not too warm. When weather is extremely cold it may sound tempting to wear everything you have packed. But if you will be active outside that will make you warm and sweatand then rest this might harm you. Sweat can cool your body back rapidly creating a dangerous situation.

7- When it is bedtime layer your thinnest densest covers on top.Fluffy blankets should be closer to your skin while thin dense blankets should be on top to prevent the heat loss. Your bed shouldn’t also be against an exterior wall. Leave a space to feel warmer.
