6 weird things you can bring on a plane

Packing your carry-on bag and choosing between what you need most and what you’re not allowed to bring on board is a confusing thing. But the variety of stuff you can bring on a plane will confuse you more.

Ashes:

Urns that include ashes can be kept in your cabin baggage, providing the urn is made of wood, cardboard or plastic, and not -under any conditions- metal, as it may not possible to be x-ray screened.

Parachute:

Nervous flyers should be happy with that comforting item, which is accepted for carriage as checked-in or carry-on baggage subject of any type; recreational or sports type or paragliding wings (c.anopy), as far as they meet the standard restrictions for size and weight.

Lighter:

UK government allows you to carry a lighter on board only if you “put it inside a resealable plastic bag (like the ones used for liquids), which you must keep on you through the flight”, as it says on its website.

Dry ice:

Mysterious vapors can’t always be panic causing, as it may be dry ice a fellow passenger uses to preserve food or medicine in their hand luggage. Some airlines will allow you to carry it, like easyJet that says: “You can carry maximum of 25kgs of dry ice in your cabin bag as long as it is only used to preserve perishable items that are not classed as dangerous goods”.

“Emotional support” animals:

The weirdest things you can take on a plane were legalized by the ATransportation Security Administration (TSA), which includes; miniature horses, along with pot-bellied pigs and monkeys if they offer passengers “emotional support”, As American Department of Transportation describes them as “commonly used service animals”.

Knitting needles:

craft lovers can bring their beloved knitting needles and crochet hooks with their long pointy length though they are not so different from craft tools like ice picks and scissors.
